Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about NUST NET and our platform

The NUST Entry Test (NET) is a mandatory standardized test for admission to all undergraduate programs at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. It is conducted multiple times a year, typically between February and August. The test evaluates candidates in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Intelligence based on their chosen field.

NUST conducts NET 3-4 times during the admission cycle (typically NET-1 in February, NET-2 in March/April, NET-3 in June, and NET-4 in July/August). You can attempt multiple NETs, and your best score will be considered for merit calculation.

The NET for Engineering typically has 200 marks distributed as: Mathematics (80 marks), Physics (60 marks), English (30 marks), and Intelligence (30 marks). For Medical/BioSciences: Biology (80 marks), Chemistry (60 marks), Physics (40 marks), and English (20 marks). There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

NUST aggregate for Engineering is calculated as: NET Score (75%) + SSC/Matric (10%) + HSSC/FSc (15%). For Medical programs: NET Score (75%) + SSC (10%) + HSSC (15%). The percentages may vary slightly for different programs. Use our built-in Aggregate Calculator for accurate results.

The NET syllabus is based on FSc/HSSC/A-Levels curriculum. For Engineering, it covers Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Analytical Geometry), Physics (Mechanics, Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics), English (Grammar, Comprehension, Vocabulary), and Analytical/Intelligence questions. NUST official website publishes detailed topic lists before each admission cycle.

NET is a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted at designated test centers across Pakistan. You'll take the test on a computer at the center. The interface shows one question at a time with options to navigate between questions, mark for review, and submit. Our platform simulates this exact interface so you feel comfortable on test day.
